REN are pleased to announce that our network now includes 250 member organisations, united in improving refugee access to employment. We appreciate all the support we have received which has allowed us to reach this milestone, and we hope to continue our expansion over the coming months. Below we have highlighted a few of our most recent members:
Safe Passage are champions for the rights of refugees and displaced people, with the aim of ensuring that they have safe passage when needing to flee in times of crisis. Their scope included supporting refugees at risk, reuniting child refugees with their families and advocating for change within the law.
Providing a single point of contact for vital information, easing the process pre-arrival, upon arrival and whilst settling in the UK. Their resources cover areas such as obtaining visas, healthcare and employment advice and language learning opportunities.
Techfugees foster innovation, research and delivery of services, to improve the inclusion of refugees and displaced persons on a global scale. Running events such as hackathons, and building upon the work of local communities of volunteers, their aim is to drive discussions around ethical technology in the humanitarian space, while also deploying technology products and services for and by displaced persons.
Buckinghamshire Country Council is one of our Local Authority members, delivering services on the ground to members of the community from refugee backgrounds, as well as engaging with strategic priorities for local integration. In joining our network, they demonstrate their commitment to improving outcomes for refugees and we’re happy to have them on board.
We encourage any qualifying organisation who is interested to join our network by clicking on the ‘Become a Member’ section of our site or contacting our network coordinator Ben (ben@refugeeemploymentnetowkr.co.uk) for more detail and with any relevant questions.
