Training for Employers
Practical training on recruiting, hiring and supporting refugee talent in the workplace.

Get trained by the Refugee Employment Network (REN) and the United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR) in refugee-inclusive hiring, recruitment and induction for displaced talent.
This practical and hands-on training has been co-developed by the Refugee Employment Network, UNHCR and displaced professionals. It is designed for HR, Talent and DEI professionals, and hiring managers looking to create refugee-inclusive recruitment pathways and workplaces.
Participants will gain practical tools and insights that can also help strengthen recruitment, onboarding and retention practices across your organisation.
Refugees in the UK have the right to work, yet many face significant barriers to accessing employment that matches their skills and experience. Despite high levels of qualifications and professional experience among displaced professionals, many remain underemployed or excluded from the labour market.
At the same time, employers who hire refugees report strong outcomes, including high retention rates and valuable transferable skills within their workforce.
This training will help employers understand the barriers refugees face in accessing employment, and how organisations can build recruitment and workplace practices that unlock this talent.
This workshop is delivered online over two half-day sessions.
It is delivered by facilitators from the Refugee Employment Network and UNHCR, together with facilitators who bring lived experience of forced displacement and professional expertise in HR and recruitment.
If you are looking to train several members of your team, we offer bespoke workshops tailored to your organisation’s recruitment practices and workforce needs, helping teams develop practical approaches to refugee-inclusive hiring.
